Dan Cake is launching a new waffle production line.

The Dan Cake plant in Chrzanow is launching a new automated waffle line. This is in response to the significant increase in the attractiveness of this product in recent years, especially among younger consumers.

The new line is distinguished by high efficiency, automation of the packaging process and the use of AI technology, which will soon be applied here. It is based on an advanced monitoring system, thanks to which it will be possible to obtain a high-quality product free of defects, such as improper shape or degree of baking, determined, among other things, by the desired parameters defined in the system.

- The implementation of the AI system on our production line is a key step towards modernity and full automation. The use of strictly dedicated AI systems will allow us to monitor the entire process and its key parameters in real time, which means a much faster response to all variations in production conditions, for example, differences due to seasonality of raw materials. As a result, we will be able to ensure stable product quality while increasing productivity. The consumer expects baked goods with ideal taste, texture and repeatability. The use of the AI control system allows us to guarantee that every product leaving our plant meets these standards. AI is no longer just the future - it's the present, changing the way we produce and control food," emphasizes Katarzyna Kajdas-Cieśla, Head of NPD & Continuous Improvement at Dan Cake Polonia.

The new production line has been designed to easily meet the growing expectations and preferences of consumers. It makes it possible to introduce different variants of waffle wafers, thus developing this product and changing the perception of it only in the category of sweet snacks.

The investment in the new production line is another milestone in the modernization and development activities that Dan Cake Polonia has been consistently implementing
for many years. Among other things, in 2022 it commissioned its own logistics center with a fully automatic high-storage warehouse, which is also the tallest building in Chrzanów. In addition, the waffle production line is integrated with the company's logistics center, thanks to which the processes of packaging, palletizing and loading the products for further transportation are fully automatic, using special robots.

- The new line significantly increases the production capacity of the plant, which allows it to respond more quickly to the growing demand for waffle wafers, both in Poland and in other markets. Thanks to modern technologies, our company not only improves its quality and efficiency, but also optimizes production costs, which increases our competitive advantage. Although the line is largely automated, its launch signifies the development of new areas of the company's business and the stability of its operations. This is undoubtedly another step in strengthening Chrzanów's position as an important industrial center. The precise monitoring of the baking process and the detection of possible errors in real time, resulting in the reduction of food losses, is additionally in line with global trends in sustainable development, which can be an additional asset for our customers and business partners," sums up Wojciech Pietras, Operations Director, Dan Cake Polonia.

The Chrzanow production facility of Dan Cake manufactures its products not only for Polish, but also for European markets. The launch of the modern production line is a strategic step that strengthens Dan Cake's position as a leader in the bakery and confectionery industry.
