Meet the man where it all began.
Jens Eskildsen dreamed of sharing the taste of delicious homemade cakes with others. And so, in 1931, he decided to open a small bakery. It was here - in Simmelkjaer, Denmark - that Eskildsen began baking sweets for locals to take back to their homes.
Since then, the modest bakery has gradually turned into a large enterprise.
Today, after nearly a century, the Dan Cake group has become one of the most important producers in the bakery and confectionery industry in Europe with plants in Denmark, Germany and Bangladesh and, since 2004, also in Poland.
